If you are a member of the St. Paul’s congregation or reside in the surrounding neighborhoods, we are confident that you will find great value in the many amenities the redevelopment project will bring to the Park West Bankers Hill area.  We invite you to read through the following information and share with your friends and neighbors some of the benefits the proposed St. Paul’s residential community has to offer.

Key Points for our supporters:

As you may know, we have been working closely with the St. Paul’s Cathedral congregation and the surrounding community to create an exciting mixed-use project that will provide new office space, classrooms and funds for the expansion of the Cathedral. In addition to the many benefits that will be enjoyed by congregation members, the Cathedral redevelopment will also:
Complement the surrounding neighborhood. The modern residential towers will help the historic design of the Cathedral stand out as a San Diego landmark.
Alleviate the lack of parking in the surrounding neighborhoods by creating a total of 85 spots designated for Cathedral use.  There are currently only 23 parking spaces in the Cathedral parking lot.
Help the current parking problems by providing new underground parking garages for residents of the two residential towers and their guests.
Preserve the 18-unit Le Modern apartment complex, and maintain the units as affordable housing. The complex will exceed the City’s requirements for a project of this size.
Offer community groups that currently meet at St. Paul's, such as planning committees, art and cultural groups, alcoholics anonymous and many more, additional meeting space increasing the amount of organizations in the community that St. Pauls' can accommodate. The St. Paul's Cathedral is more than just a place of worship; it is a center for the entire community.
